Dr. Leah Katz completed her undergraduate education at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, with a double major in Biology and Science in Society. After college, she completed a year of prostate cancer research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, Massachusetts, where her passion for oncology was fostered.
Dr. Katz earned her Master’s degree in Public Health and her Doctorate of Medicine from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Board certified in Radiation Oncology, Dr. Katz joined PROS after serving as Chief Resident during her four-year residency at NYU School of Medicine, New York City.
With a desire to contribute as much as possible in her young career, Dr. Katz has already served in leadership positions with the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), the Association of Residents in Radiation Oncology (ARRO), and the New York Roentgen Society.
The physicians of Professional Radiation Oncology Services (PROS) oversee a dynamic team of fully certified therapists, dosimetrists, physicists, a nurse practitioner, nurse and dietitian. PROS offers the most exact radiation method available for targeting cancer, IGRT—Image Guided Radiation Therapy, as well as ongoing studies and clinical trials.
